Love the idea of Genieo, have been looking for something similar to Flipboard for iPad, for my Windows laptop and desktop, for quite some time.
But the fact that it's a desktop application and there is no browser-based alternative is a complete non-starter for me.
I tried it, I liked it, but I uninstalled it. Genieo is always running and it just made me uneasy having my Internet connection always on and having Genieo always connecting to various websites. I wish there were an option to shut it down when my browser isn't open.
