What innovations are focusing on dealing with the information overload?

Personalization is not about filtering the web, it’s not about a process or a concept but experience. The experience of personalization by real flesh-and-blood people; it cannot be reduced to a statistical model of future behavior based on probabilities and prediction alone. It must be lived, experienced, felt. 
It is an existential realm, complex and verging on the chaotic, not a formula that can be reduced to an algorithm. 
I believe it’s a full spectrum of technical solutions to answer one philosophical experience; whether I feel the overall experience design specifically for me and for my needs.

People are so accustomed to do so much in order to get what they want, and personalized solution should answer those challenges. 

With this in mind we created Genieo.com, a personalized newspaper style homepage that design to each individual. We are using different kind of technologies and technics instead of just filtering the web for you based on your online behavior.
